About the Workshop:

There is so little space in our culture for people who have experienced pregnancy loss, which results in loneliness, shame, and structural oppression, and fam, we deserve resources, community, and support.

Laura and Jade are creating a warm, tender space. We will breathe together, practice visualizations, move gently in ways that feel good for each body, and find opportunities to lean into healing and even joy.

Everyone’s experience will be different, as we are all in different stages of our journey. Whatever moment you’re in will be met with compassion, and we hope everyone leaves feeling connected and restored.

About Us:

Jade Ross (left) is a birthworker, artist, and entrepreneur who works with Sugar Heal Gang, a collective that offers maternal care to black and indigenous folks at no cost in Los Angeles. Laura Karlin (right) is the founder and Artistic Director of Invertigo Dance Theatre. Both are mamas and Reproductive Justice activists who have lived experience with pregnancy loss, as well as experience in supporting others through it.

Reach out to Laura at [email protected] or 424.229.2141 with any questions.

This workshop is connected to Invertigo Dance Theatre’s upcoming performances of Interior Design on Saturday April 20 & Sunday April 21 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.
